GSA Technology Day   September 29, 2009

GSA is pleased to bring you a unique opportunity to gain exposure for your company's technology.

About Nokia

One aspect of the business development teams within Nokia is to find relevant external technologies for mobile devices, and bring in those innovations to the business lines. The participants from the Nokia side are from Technology Scouting, Strategy and Business Development, R&D, and Nokia Growth Partners VC. Their tasks include guiding the technology providers and potential suppliers on how to work with Nokia, and with the most potential cases to take action to drive those innovations into Nokia’s mobile devices together with the technology providers.

About the Submission Process/Event

Nokia has worked with GSA to make a submission form available to GSA members. GSA and Nokia will review the proposal with the relevant stakeholders at Nokia for the technologies presented on the submission forms. The intention of the submission form is for Nokia to be able to receive your technology or product proposal, providing your company exposure at Nokia. Companies who show the most potential technology for GSA Technology Day in Mountain View, CA on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.

Interested companies are asked to complete the submission form by July 31, 2009. GSA and Nokia will then determine the most advantageous business model for both parties (you and Nokia). The solutions might include e.g. supplying chips, IP licensing, algorithm licensing, etc. You are not required to complete all of the information on the submission form. However, if the technology description is too vague, Nokia will be unable to present it to the various stakeholders at Nokia. The purpose of the submission form is to evaluate if your technology would be interesting for Nokia within a certain time frame (1-5 years). Based on determining this, the one-on-one discussions will be selected and scheduled.

Guidelines

Qualified companies must be fabless. Fabless is defined as any semiconductor company that outsources 75% or greater of its wafer manufacturing and sells silicon to an end-customer. If your company does not meet these guidelines, you are not qualified to submit.
